Fall Events in East Atlanta Village

When the temperatures finally cool down in Atlanta, the fall events in East Atlanta Village take off! While Atlanta will host huge events this fall like the Atlanta Jazz Festival at Piedmont Park in September and One MusicFest at Centennial Olympic Park in October, East Atlanta Village holds its own with smaller, local events where the neighbors come out to mingle and celebrate living in one of Atlanta’s most colorful neighborhoods.

This year we have a few more in-person events for everyone to enjoy, and we can’t wait to take advantage of Atlanta’s beautiful fall weather. Here are our top East Atlanta Village events to attend this fall!

Brownwood Bike Rally | September 13-18, 2021

The 17th annual Brownwood Bike Rally celebrates a history of community engagement in East Atlanta by raising funds for the East Atlanta Kids Club. It features bike races for kids and adults, a bike safety rodeo, bike decorating, and other family-friendly festival fun. The whole community is invested in making sure neighborhood kids have access to high-quality, S.T.E.A.M.-based, extracurricular programming.

East Atlanta Strut | September 25, 2021

The exuberant East Atlanta Strut celebrates the community’s art, culture, and quirkiness! You can strut just about anything — your business, art, talent, street — or you can just watch the riotous festivities, eat and drink, dance to neighborhood bands, and have a good time. Oh, and if you’re good with a leaf blower, you can propel objects through obstacle courses for cool prizes!

Dogtoberfest | October 17, 2021

Dogtoberfest is an annual fundraiser and non-profit dedicated to promoting responsible pet ownership in East Atlanta Village, and we’re not sure who has more fun – the humans or the pups! There will be vendors, food, drinks, raffles, and of course, an awesome costume contest — for the dogs, that is.

East Atlanta Village Farmers Market | Through November

EAV Farmers Market has been providing residents with local and seasonal produce since 2006, and has been voted Best Outdoor Farmers Market in Atlanta five times in a row by Creative Loafing’s readers. Find fresh bread, eggs, vegetables, prepared meals, and artisan goods right in the neighborhood. Located in a grassy park on Stokeswood Ave, the market is open each Thursday from 4-7 p.m. through November 18th and will be fully stocked with fall produce!

Come out and enjoy all the fun, local events that you won’t find anywhere else but EAV. While you’re here, stop by Mason Flats to get a feel for what living in East Atlanta is all about.
